The State Diploma of Nursing Assistant (DEAS) trains students over 11 months (1,540 hours) to support people with daily living activities, in collaboration with the nurse.

Since 2021, the DEAS can be prepared through apprenticeship in IFAS schools, opening the way to immediate jobs in healthcare facilities, care homes and home services.
